Welcome to the Upholstery Skills Centre – we want you to enjoy every minute of your training and we will always do our best to help you fulfil your ambitions and goals. Nothing gives us more satisfaction than hearing our students say how much they're loving their course!

We offer a wide range of upholstery classes and courses suitable for all levels of experience. You will learn how to upholster with tutors who are masters of their trade with a vast amount of knowledge and experience, ensuring you are in expert hands. The learning environment is friendly and professional. Students also benefit from excellent tutor to student ratios with at least one tutor for every six students. Each tutor has between 40 and 45 years experience of working in the commercial upholstery world.

Students can choose from a wide range of training patterns and days - just let us know what would work for you and we will do our best to accommodate this.

Once students have qualified they can also benefit from our Gateway Scheme where we provide additional support to help the transition from training to working. This unique scheme provides continued tutor support for you as a newly qualified upholsterer and gives you additional confidence when establishing and running your own upholstery business.

We are an award-winning Approved Training Centre for the AMUSF (Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnishers). The Skills Centre was established in 2012 and we are proud to be the only Approved Training Centre in Essex and the East of England. We are located within the M25 and also in the Essex countryside.
